Description
Splash is an abstract painting with a funny story and lesson. I was initially working on the edges of what was going to be an abstract crystally cave kind of piece, and as I was leaning over the painting, I accidentally spilled my entire cup of paint water onto the canvas. In my frozen moment of not knowing whether to scream or cry, I simply took a deep breath and decided to just roll with it. I took the accident as an opportunity to create something unexpected. I decided to make the rest of it on purpose, and played with the water and paint, creating new shapes and techniques on the canvas that I hadn’t done before. My clumsy disaster turned into a beautiful accident. Everyone sees something different in this painting, and I love it.
