Description
Latte Stones are one of my favorite subjects to paint! They are iconic to Guam culture and history. The ancient Chamorro's built their houses on top of these massive stones. You can still find some ancient latte stone sites here on Guam, and many others have ben recreated for various purposes. In this painting, I utilized a ton of thick texture, shapes and lines. The silver and grey stones stand against a dark blue and vivid red background for a vibrant contrast.
